The nights get interesting around here!

For the month of September, my husband has been working till around 9pm every night (and 12 hour days on Saturdays, too). It has been interesting around our house in the evenings while I am struggling to keep the boys entertained and busy (without destroying the house).
Well, while I was doing some homework the other night I heard them running and laughing and didn't think much of it until it was going on for a very long time with no interruption of someone screaming in pain. That is a little odd for these two boys to go that long without injuring eachother.
So, I got up to investigate. This is what I found.....

The boys had gone in their room and found the red bandanas I use as curtain tie back for their curtains and turned them into superman capes.

A few days later I remembered we had this cape Grandma had bought Dylan a while back. Unfortunately, those with more than one child will attest to the fact that you always need one of everything for every child....
So I dug through my old fabric scraps and found a piece of red flannel and some velcro with an adhesive back. And this is what I whipped up for Liam.....

He is young enough to not realize that his doesn't have the Superman sign on the back

(shhhhh... no one tell him!)

He is just happy to look just like his big brother.

So cute Heidi! I won't tell Liam but he is gonna figure it out one of these days. Maybe Grandma will find another one.

By the way we got the Buzz costume from Target. It is a cheap one compared to the other ones I have seen out there. But it works. I think we are going to find wings this week.

This is hilarious and looks like so much fun! But then anything chaotic to me is fun, so go figure. Way to be creative with little notice!

That is why it is great to have your kids close in age. They are best friends and partners in crime. Very cute pictures!
