Big Girl

Madeline had a BIG day today.

She decided today was a good day to sit up in her Bumbo seat.
and
She decided today was also a good day to play with her first baby doll!!

I ABSOLUTELY cannot believe she is big enough to do either of these things!

Time goes by faster and faster with each child I have. I just want to push pause sometimes....
and always remember this moment.

First Swim Of The Year

My Little Helper

Dylan is an amazing little boy.
He loves to help.
This morning while I was getting ready, I noticed Madeline wasn't screaming at me like she usually does while she sits on the bed waiting for me.

As I looked around the corner I heard Dylan singing "Wheels on the bus".
The cutest part is that he was singing it to Madeline while doing the motions with her legs and arms.
(He learned this from his Daddy who used this song and actions to calm our children when they were all babies)

As you can see, she LOVED it.
Madeline and Dylan are forming quite a cute little brother/sister connection.
I love my kids!!

Madeline's New Dress

What is one of the best parts about having a baby girl???

Spending WAY too much money on a dress that she may only wear a couple of times....

And what 3 month old baby doesn't need some high fashion??

Madeline sure loves it!
She felt pretty fancy at church in her new dress...
And her new bracelet...
And the most fun was that her white patent leather shoes finally fit! Plus, she got to wear her ruffle socks with them...
And to top it all off, the little ruffle bottoms were almost too cute for words.
Although you can't really see it in the picture, her little chub, chub legs are adorable!

Preschool Program

Dylan's annual Spring Program at the preschool was this last week!

He is so big!

Madeline had a great time seeing brother sing.
(It doesn't hurt that Grandma held and cuddled her the whole time)
Dylan got to hold one of the fish during the song.
I can't believe it was his last preschool program. Now he is a big kid and will be going to kindergarten in the fall. I am getting teary eyed just thinking about it!!!
Luckily I have 2 more kids that will keep the preschool in business for the next 4 years!
That is a good thing because I am not ready to say goodbye to our favorite teacher, Mrs. Lobb.

Fire Station

A brand new Fire Station opened up around the corner from our house so the kids and I walked over to check it out.
Even though it was WAY too hot outside!

We saw the trucks up close and personal.
Yummy hot dogs were eaten.
Bounced in the bounce house.

And we got some freebies from men in uniform
(fun for everyone, right?)

Water Park

As previously mentioned, since my children no longer sleep in the afternoons, I am always looking for something to keep them busy.

We decided to get ice cream cones and go to the park.
This park has a water feature that they love running around in.

On this particular day I remembered their swim suits, so they weren't running around in their undies.

And to our surprise we had friends from school that were already there!

Madeline was more interested in sun bathing than running through the water.
(Grandma, notice the new outfit!)

Dylan and his friend from school
Liam pretty much never leaves the water, the entire time.

And the other big accomplishment of the day was...........

We caught a smile on camera!!!
Madeline usually only gives one smile per day, per customer.
But, I think she was extra happy today.

Cat Nap

My lovely 2 year old has decided that he no longer needs naps.

Fun, right?

Well, the thing is that now he will randomly fall asleep in strange places.

This time?
At the kitchen table, streched across 2 chairs, while eating a snack.

Unfortunately, by the time I grabbed the camera he had started to wake up.

Poor kid...
